19 January 2020 – The “Elite Youth Development Program U15” project continued to gather in Ferizaj with the participation of over 40 football players from football clubs and schools in this region. Even in this gathering the players selected by the football schools themselves had the opportunity to show their talents before the project managers and coaches from all regions who are observing all the features of these players assessing those who are most distinguished. The FFK Technical Director, Michael Nees, in front of Ferizaj’s talents stated that this project is being implemented with the aim of supporting young people to play football and at the same time to highlight the abilities of each participant in this program, given that in each region in such gatherings are delegated the best players of football schools born in 2006. He announced that the work with this generation will be ongoing and coaches will be close to these talents several times a year to see their progress as age affects some of them to be given more time and space to express their true values.

Edmond Rugova, in charge of this project, on the other hand, welcomed the young players, promising to be close again to watch them, while urging them to work diligently in order for their potential to be brought to perfection in the near future and be part of national teams.

What emerged from the players gathered in Ferizaj shows that talents exist, but much more work is needed in the future in schools where they are active and at the same time more playing space. The caravan of this project will continue next weekend with gatherings in the Mitrovica and Peja regions.
