15 October 2019 – Kosovo’s U21 National Team was defeated by Albania U21 National Team in the Euro 2021 qualifier match played in Elbasan Arena in Elbasan/Albania with 2:1. The first half was almost equal with a higher pressure from the red-and-blacks toward Smakiqi’s goal. However, nets remained intact. Meanwhile, Dardans had much more to show in the second half and several good chances to score but failed to do so. On the other side, Albania managed to unblock the situation in the 76th minute through Shaqir Tafa’s goal. Only five minutes later, red-and-blacks increased their lead to 2:0 with Arbnor Mucolli’s goal. In the remaining minutes Dardans engaged in maximum to alter the situation but could not do more than just to score the goal of honor through Blend Baftiu in the 89th minute. This is Kosovo’s second consecutive defeat following the loss in England and achieved two wins in first matches of these qualifiers, against Andorra and Turkey.
